5 Fresh Red Shallot bulbs – Premium Quality, Grown with Care

Add rich, savoury depth to your dishes with our premium Red Shallots, freshly harvested and bursting with flavour. Known for their delicate balance of garlic and onion notes, these ruby-skinned beauties are a must-have in every kitchen—from home cooks to gourmet chefs.

Grown naturally and harvested with care, our red shallots offer a smooth, crisp texture and a subtle sweetness that elevates everything from salad dressings to slow-roasted meats. They're perfect for pickling, caramelizing, or simply slicing raw for a punch of flavour.

Why You'll Love Them:

  • Vibrant red skin with a mild, sweet flavour

  • Grown chemical-free and hand-harvested

  • Long shelf life when stored in a cool, dry place

  • Each clove will produce a new bulb with 5-8 cloves

How to Grow Red Shallots at Home: Plant individual cloves (not the whole bulb, pointy end up with papery skin intact, in well-drained soil with full sun exposure. Space them about 20–30cm apart and water regularly, keeping the soil moist but not soggy. Red shallots thrive in cooler seasons—plant in autumn or early spring depending on your climate. Shallots will be ready to harvest between 3-5 months, with growth being slower in winter. When tops are yellowing off, stop watering and when they have dried out, pull shallots and dry out in a cool sheltered spot for 2-3 weeks. Once stalks have completely dried out, remove bulbs and store in a cool, dry place e.g. pantry.

Whether you're building a farm-to-table pantry or starting your own patch, our red shallots bring freshness straight from the field to your fork.
